Wouldn't this guy look cute in your kitchen?
On my recent Plain City Bridesmaids book tour, I did some shopping for you. I picked the rooster up in Holmes County, Ohio, at the Berlin Village Gift Barn. Absolutely loved that store! Have you been there?
The rooster is lightweight and approx 10 1/2" x 6".

Never been there, in fact, I've never been to Ohio. They do have a website though, and it kinda reminds me of The Old Candle Barn in Intercourse, PA. I love watching them hand dip the candles there.
Yes, he would look cute in my kitchen by the way!

Oh My Goodness!!!....I MUST have that Rooster!!!! You see, my husband and his best friend have started what they call "The Rooster club." It's a man thing. We ladies are "hens."
The Rooster club is designed to promote masculine behavior in men. Effeminate thinking and behavior is frowned upon and discouraged...Men are expected to be the Spiritual leaders of their homes and be willing to support, care for and even give up their lives for their wives and children.
Your rooster would make a great symbol of their efforts! We could pass it back and forth as needed to reward and encourage good "Rooster Behavior!".

I don't normally care for chickens or roosters in the kitchen, but I have to say that he is cute!! I would certainly put him on my counter. And looking forward to reading some of your books.

Oh, he's cute! My daughter raises chickens and I think he'd make a great addition to her hope chest! I grew up in Plain City and have many relatives (most are still Mennonite) still there. I'm looking forward to reading all about the Plain City Bridesmaids!
