Bright Moment

I wanted to join these gals--if only for a few minutes.
But of course, I couldn't. For one thing I'm three times their age and secondly, my jeans would have marred the harmony they presented. There's much to say for harmony, isn't there? So I watched them for a few fleeting seconds from our car window.
We had paused from my busy book tour to spend a relaxing day with relatives, shopping for Amish and Mennonite handcrafts. My imagination followed the softball from the pitcher's hand.
My thoughts flew to my writing, specifically on some characters I'm creating. Amish-Mennonite characters. Harmony is important to this group. They separated from the Old Order Amish because they didn't agree with shunning.
Beautiful, how their clothing expresses harmony.
We finished the tour and boarded a plane home. Two days later, I ended up in Urgent Care--exhaustion was out of harmony with my plans. Sigh. So here I sit at my computer, feverish with a ton of work to do. And although my ear throbs away, I faintly hear and remember the sound of laughter coming from the girls at play. And it brightens my day!
Tossing the ball your way now,
What was the bright moment of your day?

Judy you must be a romantic. That brings a smile to my heart, imagining it.
I love my husband of 8 years and it is a joy to spend lunch time with him!
Spent a great day Wednesday, just the two of us, on the beautiful upper end of Current River, he fishing, me taking pictures, reading and writing. We had a nice picnic, enjoyed the warm sunny day.

That garden sounds wonderful. My motherinlaw is in assisted living. She had a nightblooming cactus that was always transplanted in her yard from home to home. It started out from her mom back in Ohio. Don't know why they had a cactus in Ohio. But since I live in Arizona, once I got the story on it, I knew I wanted a start of that cactus. In her move to A. L., the cactus got left behind and I was able to give her a small start of mine in an herb pot for her room. I hope my cactus lives on...as long as it does I'll cherish it..........Those Amish girls were younger than they appear in the photo and seemed uneasy while we watched them. They were at recess at school.

we planted a memorial garden to my dear sweet mom-in-law today using many of her irises in it. It made me happy! by the way, I'll bet those sweet Amish girls would have loved for you to join their game.
I am sure they would have welcome you into the game!
