About Me

I am completely entranced by the Amish/Mennonite/Hutterite ways of life.
I grew up on a farm and my father always bought our equipment, horse tack and wagons from the Mennonites in Elmira, Ontario. I have always been astonished by them and the way in which they live. After a near fatal accident in Sept 2010 I have become somewhat obsesessive compulsive with learning EVERYTHING there is to know and visiting the different settlements.
I live 20 minutes from a fair sized settlement here in Ontario between Lindsay and Peterborough so I get to drive through the area once a week while going for an appointment.

Otherwise I am a Registered Nurse and my job when I was working was in the Emergency Dept of my local hospital. I am the mother of a daughter 14 and a son 6. Their father and I have been together for almost 16 years.

I love reading, knitting and am trying to learn quilting.
